TERMS OF USE AND SERVICE PROVISION

INTRODUCTION

The website animap.gr and the related animap online platform (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Website" or "Site") were created and are managed by the company "Monovia P.C.", with General Commercial Registry (GEMI) No.: 186347801000 and Tax Registration No. (AFM): 802964751, having its registered office in Athens, 2 Dorou Street, 10431 (hereinafter referred to as "animap", "we", "us", "our"). It constitutes an online platform dedicated to animals, through which users can search for and select the professional that best suits their needs, book appointments, and place product orders from partner pet shops and related stores.

This text (hereinafter the "Terms of Use") constitutes a binding agreement containing all terms and conditions governing the relationship between animap and you (hereinafter the "User", "you", "your") regarding your browsing on the Site and your use of the provided services.

Please read these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy carefully before using the Site.

Registering on our Website and using its services implies your unconditional acceptance of these Terms of Use and the Website's Privacy Policy, as currently in force.

MINORS

The use of the Website and our services is permitted exclusively to Users who are at least 18 years old.

By accepting the Terms of Use, the User declares that they are an adult over 18 years of age, or, if under 18, that they have obtained the necessary consent from all persons exercising parental care and that they will provide their details upon request.

We reserve the right to take all reasonable technical measures and deny access to the Website to any User in the event of a breach of this term.

USER REGISTRATION

Users wishing to access animap's services must create an account on the Website by providing the necessary identifying information requested.

User registration and access to baseline services on the Website are generally free of charge for the basic animap service package.

The User is only responsible for the fee set by each selected professional for their services or the price of the products ordered through the Site.

If the User wishes to access more functionalities, as well as premium products and services offered through the Site, they have the option to purchase one of the available subscription packages by paying the relevant subscription fee.

The User has the right to cancel their subscription to a package within fourteen (14) days (or a longer period if specified by animap) from registration through their account.

In this case, the full amount credited to animap will be refunded no later than fourteen (14) days from the cancellation date.

In accordance with Article 31b par. a of Law 2251/1994, the aforementioned right shall not apply if the User explicitly consented to the immediate commencement of service performance upon subscribing.

The subscription package selected by the User (or the latest active package in case of an upgrade) will automatically renew for equal successive periods, unless the User cancels it via their account settings prior to the respective expiration date.

SERVICES

The Website serves as an online marketplace for searching and discovering businesses and professionals, while offering a simple and direct method for booking appointments.

animap merely provides the technological infrastructure to connect Users with the listed professionals and businesses; it is not the provider of the respective services or products and holds no legal affiliation with the professionals and businesses featured on the Website.

Through the Website, the User can access various specialties of professionals and businesses related to the care, health, and well-being of animals, including but not limited to:

Veterinarians / Animal Clinics
Trainers
Pet groomers
Pet sitters / Pet walkers
Animal nutritionists
Pet psychologists

The User can book appointments with the professional of their choice directly through the Site.

Concurrently, the Site features various product categories commercialized by partner pet shops, which the User can order and pay for directly through the Website under the guarantee and reliability of animap.

APPOINTMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS

Through the Website, Users can view the availability of their chosen professional and book appointments for physical sessions.

Upon selecting the professional, time, date, and preferred service based on availability, the User must advance the relevant fee displayed on the professional's page.

Payments are processed exclusively via credit or debit card. Transactions are handled and completed through a licensed third-party financial and payment services provider (Stripe Inc.) that implements all necessary digital transaction security safeguards. To execute a payment, you will be redirected to the secure portal of the aforementioned provider, where you must input your card details following the provided instructions.

Users may reschedule or cancel a confirmed appointment up to twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled time, exclusively through the Website by selecting "Cancel Appointment".

In the event of a timely cancellation and provided the appointment fee has already been paid, a full refund will be processed within ten (10) business days from the cancelled appointment date.

If a User fails to cancel in a timely manner or does not show up for an appointment without prior notice, they acknowledge and accept that the paid amount is strictly non-refundable and that animap reserves the right to: a) block future bookings with that specific professional, or b) temporarily suspend services to the User.

Should a User fail to cancel appointments on time more than five (5) times, animap reserves the right to terminate service provision and delete the User's account.

If a professional needs to cancel or postpone a booking arranged through the Website, they are required to notify animap and the User at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance and propose an alternative date and time. If the User is unavailable or rejects the new proposal, any advance payment will be fully refunded.

ORDERS, DELIVERIES, AND PRODUCT RETURNS

Upon identifying the desired products and quantities, the User submits the order and pays the total amount directly on the Site. All payments are processed via credit/debit card through our secure third-party financial services partner.

Product delivery is executed under the sole responsibility and care of the respective seller to the address provided by the User during registration (unless a different delivery address or locker is specified at checkout). The User must collect the items within the designated timeframe and assumes full liability for their safety and integrity upon delivery.

Estimated delivery times provided by sellers are purely indicative and non-binding. The User acknowledges that logistics can be impacted by external factors beyond the control of animap or the seller; hence, animap disclaims all liability for shipping delays, and such delays shall not constitute grounds for order cancellation.

Pursuant to Consumer Protection Law 2251/1994, the User retains a statutory right of withdrawal, allowing them to return any purchased product without penalty within an absolute deadline of fourteen (14) days from physical possession. Return requests must be initiated via the User's account or by emailing info@animap.gr with the subject line "WITHDRAWAL ORDER NO. XXXXXXX".

Following a withdrawal request, the User must ship the item back to the seller within fourteen (14) calendar days. Refunds are credited back to the original payment card within ten (10) business days. Return shipping costs are borne exclusively by the User unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

Statutory withdrawal rights explicitly exclude the following product categories under Law 2251/1994:

Perishable goods (e.g., pet food).
Unsealed items unsuitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons (e.g., pet sanitary products).
Custom-made or personalized items fabricated according to User specifications (e.g., custom name tags or accessories).
Items that have been used, damaged, lack original packaging, or are missing components/manuals.
Transactions for which a commercial invoice was issued.

Sellers reserve the right to reject returns that violate these conditions, in which case the item will be shipped back to the User at their own expense.

If a product is defective, missing components, or fails to match its online description, the User must report the issue within five (5) days of receipt and return it within fourteen (14) days. Requests must be filed via the account panel or via info@animap.gr under the subject "DEFECTIVE PRODUCT RETURN ORDER NO. XXXXXXX", accompanied by clear photographic evidence of the defect. Validated claims will receive either a free replacement or a full refund within ten (10) business days. If less than thirty (30) days have elapsed since initial delivery, the User may decline repair/replacement and demand an immediate refund.

ACCEPTABLE USE

Users must interact with the Website and its services lawfully, ethically, and in good faith. The following actions are strictly prohibited and constitute a material breach of these Terms:

Damaging, altering, overloading, or disrupting the Website's infrastructure or interfering with other users' access.
Distributing malware, viruses, or any hazardous digital files.
Publishing or transmitting offensive, defamatory, obscene, racist, or otherwise unlawful content.
Disclosing confidential or proprietary third-party information without authorization.
Providing fraudulent, inaccurate, or misleading profile details.
Abusing platform features (e.g., booking fake appointments or systematically abandoning orders).
Creating multiple accounts for fraudulent or deceptive purposes.
Attempting unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
Infringing upon the intellectual property rights or data privacy of animap or third parties.
Accessing the platform for benchmarking, data scraping, copying, or reverse engineering.
Utilizing the platform to circumvent applicable laws or conduct illegal operations.

animap reserves the unilateral right to delete non-compliant content, suspend or permanently terminate offending accounts without notice or liability, forward data to law enforcement authorities without consent, and pursue legal remedies for damages.

REVIEWS

Users may post ratings and reviews regarding listed professionals and products. Reviews must be honest, accurate, and reflecting firsthand consumer experience. Fabricated, defamatory, or abusive text is strictly prohibited. animap reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove reviews that violate platform standards and take punitive action against the author's account.

THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

The Website contains hyperlinks to external sites or social media pages managed by third parties (such as listed professionals). animap does not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or digital safety of external sites. Accessing third-party links is done at the User's sole risk.

SECURITY AND FUNCTIONALITY

We actively maintain platform performance, but due to the inherent nature of the internet, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operations. animap reserves the right to suspend platform access for scheduled maintenance or technical upgrades. Digital security, anti-virus defenses, and hardware integrity remain the sole responsibility of the User.

WEBSITE CONTENT

All platform materials and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. animap may modify, expand, or restrict site elements at any time without notice. Information, articles, and product descriptions are published purely for informational purposes, are not exhaustive, and do not substitute professional advice. The User assumes full responsibility for actions taken based on site content.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The term "animap" is a legally registered trademark (OBI Registration No. N298224). All proprietary content (including source code, text, graphics, layouts, and logos) belongs exclusively to animap or its licensors and is fully protected under Greek, European, and international copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized reproduction, modification, distribution, or commercial exploitation is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization.

INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless animap, its parent companies, subsidiaries, officers, directors, and employees against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, or legal expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your breach of these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, or applicable statutory laws.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Listed professionals undergo a reasonable credential verification process in line with animap's role as an intermediary online marketplace. However, the User acknowledges that animap is not a party to the contractual relationship between the User and the service provider and disclaims all liability for the quality, legality, or execution of professional services or sold goods.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, animap disclaims all liability for:

Any regulatory or ethical breaches committed by listed professionals.
Personal injuries, medical complications, or fatalities linked to professional treatments or services.
Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential financial losses or loss of profits incurred by the User.
Product defects or a seller's refusal to honor refund rights or statutory consumer protections.
Losses stemming from scheduled or unscheduled platform downtime.
Data breaches, unauthorized access, or credential leaks, provided they cannot be attributed to gross negligence or willful misconduct by animap.
Damages resulting from redirecting to external hyperlinks or third-party intellectual property claims.

DURATION AND TERMINATION

These Terms form a legally binding agreement active from the moment a User accesses the Site. animap may terminate this agreement and delete or suspend a User profile at any time if a breach is suspected. Users can request account deletion at their convenience via profile settings, though terms remain binding for subsequent interactions as anonymous visitors.

APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms of Use are governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece. Any legal dispute arising between animap and a User shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Athens.

Consumers also retain the right to seek out-of-court dispute resolution via the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/index_el.

SEVERABILITY

If any provision within these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a competent court, that specific provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the invalid portion shall be severed without affecting the validity and enforceability of the remaining clauses.

NO WAIVER

Any failure or delay by animap to enforce a provision or exercise a statutory right under these Terms shall not be construed as a waiver of such rights or future enforcement capabilities.

SPECIFIC TERMS

Where individual platform services are governed by specialized terms, those terms shall complement these Terms of Use as a unified agreement. In the event of an explicit conflict, the specialized terms of the respective service shall prevail.

AMENDMENTS

animap reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at its discretion. Continued use of the platform following updates constitutes unconditional acceptance of the revised text. Users are advised to review this page periodically; modification dates are posted at the top of the document.
